A unique Leicestershire water tower could become a storage facility if plans are approved. The site, which has previously been dubbed an "alien" feature of the landscape , has seen multiple housing applications fall through, but developers hope the latest plan gets the green light.
The 17-metre tall cylindrical structure, located in Roe House Lane, Norton Juxta Twycross, was sold earlier this year at auction. The property, which stands in countryside between Appleby Magna, No Mans Heath and Norton Juxta Twycross, also includes a triangular portion of land surrounding the tower.
Now, following its sale a plan to convert the former water tower into a storage facility for molasses has been submitted. The plans, put before Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC) by Matthew Tho
