Two Windsor police officers have been cleared of wrongdoing in the April arrest of a man who suffered multiple right-sided rib fractures.
In a written decision by Ontario’s Special Investigation Unit director Joseph Martino, released Aug. 13, Martino said there were no reasonable grounds to believe any officer committed a criminal offence in connection to the man’s arrest and injuries.
The incident began the morning of April 23, when officers were dispatched to the upper unit of an apartment building in the area of Walker Road and Seminole Street, to assist sheriffs in the eviction of a 54-year-old man who was a tenant.
