A new Gallup poll indicates a significant shift in Ukrainian public sentiment regarding the war with Russia, with a substantial majority now favoring a negotiated peace. The findings, highlighted by CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten, show a stark contrast to opinions held at the start of the conflict.

According to the July poll, 69% of Ukrainians want to see “a negotiated end to the war as soon as possible,” while only 24% support “continuing to fight until victory.”

This represents a complete shift from 2022, when 73% of Ukrainians backed fighting for a complete victory, and only 22% wanted to negotiate.
