Boy, 3, drowns at Lake of the Ozarks

A 3-year-old boy drowned Sunday at the Lake of the Ozarks.

The boy was from Tuscumbia, Missouri. The Missouri Highway Patrol refused to release his name.

The patrol said the boy went into the water from the back of a pontoon boat and did not resurface. The pontoon boat was anchored at the 4.8-mile mark of the Glaize Arm of the lake.

Police in Camden County were called about 12:25 p.m. Sunday.

The boy was not wearing a life jacket, the patrol said.
