KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A metro nonprofit found that someone tried to take their equipment trailer that was loaded with customized equipment.
Midwest Adaptive Sports had just gotten done with a weekend at the KC Ability Summit.
The next morning, their Vice President, Kolton Kincaid, received an unexpected phone call. Their trailer loaded with custom wheelchair equipment was vandalized.
“They weren’t able to get past the security measures on the trailer, but it definitely would have had a devastating impact if they had gotten the trailer, or any of the contents within it,” said Kincaid.
A hitch lock didn’t allow the thieves to take the trailer, but it was moved about sixty feet from where it was parked the night before. It now has sizeable damage that needs repairs.
