CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - A chase for a suspect in a stolen car led to the car coming to a stop against a home.

According to Patrolman Bobby Newton with the Cape Girardeau Police Department, police tried to stop the car at Frederick Street and Olive Street.

The suspect led them on a chase to East Cape Rock Drive and Country Club Road, where he jumped out of the car, and the car kept rolling, coming to a stop against a home in the 300 block of E. Cape Rock.

Police are still looking for the driver.

Patrolman Newton said they believe he is not a danger to the public.
