ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. (WGNO) — The local non-profit, Ski-Dawgs, hosted a water-skiing event for athletes with disabilities in Bush on Saturday, Aug. 16.

This annual event was put on by the organization with a mission of providing an inclusive environment to share a passion for the sport of adaptive waterskiing.

A total of 44 participants took part in a day filled with skiing and community activities.

Organizers said it was a unique experience that many of the kids wouldn't normally have.
