TERRY — What was once a dream is now coming to life after a group of local organizations, businesses and volunteers recently completed the official first installment of a larger plan for an interstate trail network that will connect the Terry Badlands to North Dakota’s Maah Daah Hey Trail.

Almost a month has passed since construction on a roughly $50,000 covered pavilion and signage along Ten Mile Road was completed to mark the west end of the Badlands to Badlands (B2B) Trail System currently in the works.

According to Russell Schwartz, the project was made possible by a Trail Stewardship Program Grant administered by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, which covered about 40% of the total cost, and local donations making up the remaining 60%.
