Several roads in Shaker Heights are closed due to police activity.

The city asked motorists to avoid the areas between Ashby and Westbury roads, including Milverton Road, because of an active community alert on its website. The alert was posted at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 18.

Multiple attempts to reach the Shaker Heights Police Department were unsuccessful.
