TAKOMA PARK, Md. — Prince George's County Police Department homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that happened near Takoma Park Sunday afternoon.

Victor Bastardo Reyes, 20, was shot on Sunday around 12:30 p.m. in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Ave. An officer found Bastardo Reyes in the roadway and transported him to the hospital where he later died from his wounds.

Investigators are working to identify a suspect and a motive in this case. So far, no arrests have been made and police have not offered a description of the person or people responsible for the shooting. The circumstances also remain under investigation.
