DETROIT — It was never going to be an easy proposition for young Miami Dolphins edge rushers Grayson Murphy and Derrick McLendon to make the active roster this preseason.
It may be made even tougher if the Dolphins end up signing Matthew Judon, the 33-year old four-time Pro Bowl pass rusher the team is hosting Monday.
But with their play on the field in training camp and through two preseason games, Murphy and McLendon are at least making it tough for the Dolphins to keep them off the initial 53-man roster.
Murphy has five tackles and two sacks in exhibition games against the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions . McLendon has six tackles, a sack and another tackle for loss in over two weeks of the preseason .
