We could be approaching the moment the Miami Dolphins finally roll out new tight end Darren Waller for practice for the first time.

Waller, coming out of retirement to get traded from the New York Giants ahead of training camp this year, has been on the physically-unable-to-perform list for the first four weeks of camp as coach Mike McDaniel protects him to get him into football shape.

After joint practices the past two weeks against the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions weren’t the time to throw him into the fire, McDaniel may get him practice reps this week.
