Winter Park’s boys volleyball team surged in the playoffs to win a repeat state title — their third in the sport in four years .
And the state final victory against Southwest Miami High School on May 17 turned out to mean even more. It was enough to clinch two more coveted championship trophies for Winter Park’s proud athletic program.
The Wildcats are the repeat winner of the Orlando Sentinel’s Varsity Cup, which goes annually to the area school with the best all-around sports program. That comes on the heels of Winter Park being crowned last week as the Class 7A FHSAA state all-sports champion for the 2024-25 school year.
