RIDGEFIELD, Wash. — The new Ridgefield In-N-Out Burger will officially open this Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 10:30 a.m., the company confirmed Monday. It's the California burger chain's first restaurant in Washington state , located at 5801 North Pioneer Canyon Drive.

The company had previously said it would open the Ridgefield site by September, but had held off on announcing a firm date. In the meantime, the city of Ridgefield had raised concerns that the opening could generate drive-thru lines so long that they back up onto public roads around the Ridgefield Union Ridge Town Center.

Last week, the city said that customer vehicles would be confined to "designated property areas" and that new arrivals would be turned away and asked to come back later if those areas fill up. The city urged
