COOK COUNTY, Ill. — State Sen. Napoleon Harris — who recently replaced Tiffany Henyard as Thornton Township Supervisor — will pay back $20,000 his campaign fund spent on clothing at high-end stores, a stay at the Four Seasons and a private school, Harris' attorney confirms to WGN Investigates.

Harris, a former NFL player and member of the Illinois democratic leadership team, has faced added scrutiny since bumping Henyard from the ballot amid a scandal over Henyard's use of tax dollars for luxury travel, high-end vehicles, meals and more.

The Sun-Times first reported on Harris' use of campaign funds for pre-Christmas shopping sprees at Neiman Marcus in recent years that totaled more than $4,300. There was also a $1,700 stay at the Four Seasons in Miami and an $866 charge at a nearby Saks
