MILWAUKEE — Fans have claimed all 100,000 vouchers for free George Webb hamburgers after the Milwaukee Brewers’ 12th straight win.
The Brewers earned their 12th consecutive victory Wednesday afternoon against the Pittsburgh Pirates, triggering the Milwaukee-based diner chain’s long-standing promotion that offers free hamburgers after a 12-game winning streak.
George Webb said on social media that although the 100,000 redeemable vouchers were claimed, customers could still receive a free burger Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at any location.
The team later pushed the streak to 14 before falling 3-2 to the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday.
George Webb has run the promotion for decades and has previously distributed tens of thousands of free burgers, including about 90,000 in 2018.
