Auburn football concluded its third week of fall camp last Friday with the team’s second scrimmage.

According to Auburn coach Hugh Freeze, the Tigers’ defense had another strong outing during Friday’s scrimmage. Freeze shared this assessment during his post-practice press conference on Monday morning.

“I thought defensively in the scrimmage they did really well. Tackled really well again, guarded well. Just gave up a few too many explosive plays,” Freeze said. Offensively, the good thing is no turnovers which is nice. We had some really solid, good dirty runs that keep us ahead of the chains. Threw the RPO game well but the drop back game still needs some improvement for sure. Definitely thought we took a step forward in those areas."
