If cycling naked through Portland isn’t enough protest for you, a new event invites participants for an evening stroll au naturel in Forest Park.
On Friday evening, a group will gather at Lower Macleay Park for a clothing-optional hike under the stars, dubbed the first-ever “Moon Walk.” The event, open to adults 18 and older, is both a form of protest and a celebration of Portland’s enduring weirdness.
The walk will go from 7 to 9:30 p.m., guided by a large, illuminated moon on a pole. Participants should bring a flashlight or headlamp, sturdy shoes and water. They are asked to remain clothed until passing the Thurman Street bridge .
