The National Institute of Hydrology and Meteorology (INAMEH) reported that Venezuela will experience a period of maximum solar incidence, due to the sun's zenith, during which the sun's rays fall perpendicularly on the national territory.

The forecasting agency indicated that this phenomenon, known as solar decline, is causing a progressive increase in temperature, particularly in low-lying and open areas, which will lead to warmer days starting August 20.

However, Inameh noted that since it coincides with the country's rainy season, the effects of extreme heat could be mitigated through humidity and cloudiness.

He clarified that this weather situation, which will occur between August 20 and September 22, has nothing to do with heat waves or heat domes.
