Authorities responded to reports of a shooting Monday morning at a business in Huntington Beach .

One person was hospitalized in the shooting at what appears to be a California Closets location. Details about that person's condition were not immediately available.

Detectives remained at the scene near Skylab Road and Springdale Street late Monday morning. The business is southwest of the 405 Freeway.

A police spokesperson said the shooting does not appear to be random and that investigators do not believe there is a threat to public safety. It was not immediately clear whether the shooter is in custody.
