More than three decades after Lyle and Erik Menendez were convicted of fatally shooting their parents in their Beverly Hills mansion, the brothers in one of the most notorious cases will have their chance at freedom this week.

The Menendez brothers will have their parole hearings Thursday and Friday after an LA County Superior Court judge reduced their sentences from life in prison without the possibility of parole to 50 years to life.
