Emmerdale actor Mike Parr shared how his outlook on life has changed ever since he found out he was going to be a father.

The 39-year-old star is best known for his portrayal of Ross Barton in Emmerdale , a role he first took on back in 2013. He initially appeared as an unnamed man who carjacked Laurel Thomas.

Although the character left briefly in 2018, Ross arrived back in the Dales in October last year after a six year hiatus. He was first seen in an unlicensed boxing match with Billy Fletcher.

Since returning to the role, he's been nominated for Best Comic Performance at the Inside Soap Awards 2025.

He currently holds an accolade for "most awards in one night", but shares this title with EastEnders star Shane Richie.
