ST. ANDREWS WEST — Nora Despatie’s visit to St. Andrew’s West Community Fest added to the long history of the South Stormont village.

“She got to meet farm animals for the first time: feed the pigs, watch a cow eat,” said her mother, Sarah, turning to Nora: “Did you like that?”

Nora quickly nodded: “It was good.”

The pair from Glen Walter were experiencing their first visit to the eighth community fest, organized by the St. Andrews Knights of Columbus .

“Our friends (David and Paige McDonell) told us about it, so we came,” said Despatie, explaining they especially enjoyed the bouncy castles and the overall atmosphere.

“Glad to hear that,” reacted Community Fest chair Earle DePass in an interview afterwards.
