JACKSON, Ky. — The mother of Jayden Spicer is now charged with her son’s murder.

Felicia Gross and her husband, Josh Gross, were indicted Monday for Spicer’s death. Felicia Gross’ charges were upgraded from second-degree manslaughter to murder. She is also charged with filing a false police report, tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse and two counts of tampering with a witness.

Josh Gross, Spicer’s stepfather, is charged with complicity to commit murder, complicity in filing a false police report, tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse and two counts of witness tampering.

Felicia Gross reported 10-year-old Spicer missing on Aug. 6. She told police he disappeared during the night of Aug. 5 and she didn’t know where he was. Kentucky State Police interviewed Felicia Gross on Aug.
