Starting Wednesday, Aug. 20, Android users will no longer have access to the Amazon Appstore. The company has notified developers that they will no longer be able to submit new apps to the store.

The notification appeared on the company’s support page , along with, “We will also be discontinuing the Amazon Coins program on 20th August 2025.”

Amazon Coins was a form of digital currency created by the company to purchase apps, games and in-app items from the Amazon Appstore.

Customers have until Aug. 20 to use any remaining Amazon coins in their accounts, which can be found in the Amazon Appstore on its home page.

Any coins that remain in the account after Aug. 20 will be refunded, Amazon said.
