FOXBOROUGH – Will Campbell had his hands full in Minnesota. For the rookie tackle, it’s exactly what he wanted.

Last week, the Patriots No. 4 overall pick was matched up with Vikings Pro Bowl edge rusher Jonathan Greenard. In two practices, Campbell went 2-1-1 against Greenard in 1-on-1 drills. The rookie, however, also appeared to have allowed four sacks by the veteran in full team drills.

On Monday, Campbell said the situation made him better.

“I think anytime in practice when you get to go against a guy from a different team that is a double-digit sack guy in the NFL as a rookie, it does nothing but good things for you,” Campbell said. “You don’t take anything like that for granted. Getting to go against a double-digit sack guy every day for two practices, it’s pretty good to go
