Four off-duty Nashville police officers were involved in an altercation with security personnel at a bar on Division Street on Aug. 16, that resulted in the injury of one officer.

The four off-duty officers attempted to enter Loser’s Bar after the group left an adjacent bar, according to the initial investigation.

The group of officers were turned away at Loser's by security. The group crossed the street and words were exchanged between one member of the group and a security guard.

The security guard crossed the street and a verbal altercation turned physical in front of Velvet Taco, according to police.
