After Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic experienced a knee injury scare overseas while participating in the EuroBasket tournament with Slovenia, he received an encouraging update. Competing for the first time since the Lakers were eliminated in the first round of last year's playoffs, Doncic's update meant a short-term recovery , as the veteran guard was fortunate the injury wasn't as servere as it seemed.
After he was able to walk back to the bench on his own, Doncic will return to the floor for Slovenia's next home game, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.
“Luka Dončić has been cleared to play for Slovenia in Tuesday night’s home game against Great Britain,” Stein reported.
Doncic is also expected to return to practice on Monday as Slovenia prepares for their matchup again
