(CNN) - A big week ahead for the Menendez brothers.
After more than 30 years behind bars, a California parole board is reviewing their case.
The brothers were convicted of murdering their parents in 1989.
They were sentenced to life in prison with no parole.
The parole board may rule in their favor, but California’s governor has the authority to reverse the decision.
Supporters say the brothers were victims of abuse and deserve freedom.
Earlier this spring, they were resentenced to 50 years to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
A ruling from the governor could come within 30 days of the board’s vote.
