TACOMA, Wash. — Court documents indicate a deadly confrontation that left a 56-year-old man beaten to death in Tacoma last fall may have started as a robbery gone wrong.

William Akers was found dead Nov. 27, 2024, inside a detached shed on South Oakes Street. The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death a homicide, citing multiple blunt-force injuries. Investigators said he appeared to have been struck with a 34-pound air compressor and a chair.

Detectives arrested three people in the case: Christopher Charles Reyes, 47, on Jan. 6, 2025, Pamela Gabrilski-Jones, 46, and Marian Jones Pardur, 43, on Aug. 15.

All were booked into Pierce County Jail and have been charged with first-degree murder. Gabrilski-Jones and Jones Pardur have also been charged with second-degree conspi
