The Detroit Tigers activated right-handed reliever Alex Lange , who has four seasons of MLB experience, from the injured list Monday, Aug. 18, and called him up to the big leagues.
When he pitches, it will be his first appearance for the Tigers since May 22, 2024.
The 29-year-old has spent the entire 2025 season recovering from a right lat surgery, which he underwent in June 2024.
He racked up 26 saves in 2023 as the Tigers' closer. To open a spot for Lange, the Tigers optioned left-handed reliever Bailey Horn to Triple-A Toledo.
