A small West Lothian town have come together to save their local Galaday after thoughtless youth vandals caused thousands in damage.

Residents of Armadale were devastated when several rented items were damaged by a handful of youths at the Galaday in June 2025.

Fears were raised that next year's big celebration would be hampered when the committee for the event found out their insurance could not cover the damage.

In an attempt to ensure those in 2026 did not miss out, a GoFundMe was set up to try to raise £3,000 to cover the cost of the damage.

To their amazement the community rallied and reached their fundraising target.
