Iam 91 years old and have never written a letter to the editor before, but I cannot remain silent when ICE is terrorizing this country.

I grew up during WWII and have read a lot of Holocaust memoirs and histories. I never thought I would see in my lifetime anything like what is happening in the United States right now. People are being arrested and deported without any kind of due process. Homes have been invaded without warrants.

Children are being separated from their parents, people are being locked away in foreign prisons, racial profiling is aggressively promoted. It’s disgusting and authoritarian. It’s un-American for sure. People need to be aware of what’s going on and consider the consequences for coming generations.
