A Mass and Cass drug dealer who has several convictions on his record, including rape and home invasion, has been sentenced to prison.

Dorchester man Joel Teixeira-Fermino, 42, is facing five years behind bars after pleading guilty to drug and gun charges stemming from an arrest at Mass and Cass.

Back on March 24, 2023, Boston police officers in the troubled area spotted numerous people making quick transactions with a man, later identified as Teixeira-Fermino — who was wearing a black mask and a black hoodie sweatshirt with a white Jordan logo.

The deals took place on Atkinson Street, a location of many previous arrests involving drugs and violence.
