The Kentucky State Fair is underway, and one of its biggest agriculture contests has already taken place.
This year's state champion pumpkin and watermelon were crowned on Saturday.
The winning pumpkin weighed in at 1,621 pounds, almost 500 pounds bigger than last year's winner. It was grown by Josh Monin in Ohio County.
Monin said the gigantic gourd was grown in just 64 days.
This year's winning watermelon was grown by Nick McCaslin of Hawesville. It weighed in at 258 pounds.
The all-time Kentucky state record is 341 pounds.
