ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Police are investigating a homicide near Jefferson Barracks after a man was stabbed to death on Sunday.

The incident occurred around 4:28 p.m. in the 200 block of Carrington Lane. Police found 39-year-old Derrick Merit suffering from life-threatening wounds after he was stabbed.

Officials transported him to the hospital, but Merit later died. Police arrested a 15-year-old and issued him charges of second degree murder and armed criminal action.
