PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — It's a staple in the Pensacola community. Captain Joey Patti’s Seafood Restaurant is known for serving up delicious seafood with a side of impeccable service.

"As my grandfather would say, the food is so good it’ll make a rabbit spit in a bulldog's eye," Leland Mott, a customer, said.

"Always enjoyed the food. Hospitality is just great. Customer service is just number one," Rufus Smith III, another customer, said.

But after years of feeding the community, the Garden Street Restaurant is closing its doors on Sept. 6.

"This location is not economically feasible for us to continue working at because rent’s going up and there’s just a lot of challenges with the building itself," Owner of Captain Joey Patti’s Seafood Restaurant, Charles Merritt, said.
