ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Starting on Monday, Aug. 18, the Mosquito Control Division will be conducting fogging missions to help reduce the mosquito population in Escambia County.
The fogging will take place from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Commission Districts 2 and 3, according to a county press release.
Officials said surveillance is performed, when possible, to determine if and when fogging is needed.
They are able to determine if fogging is needed through dry ice-baited light traps, landing rate counts, and service requests from the public, according to the release.
The spray areas include:
West Pensacola • North: Mobile Highway • South: West Navy Boulevard • East: South Pace Boulevard • West: New Warrington Road
Pensacola • North: West Cervantes Street • South: West
