QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) -- YOUR FIRST ALERT FORECAST FROM CHIEF METEOROLOGIST ERIK MAITLAND:
***FIRST ALERT DAY MONDAY UNTIL 10 P.M. FOR HIGH HEAT INDEXES & STORMS***
The brutal heat is almost behind us as a cold front that moves through early Tuesday will finally bring some relief from this sultry summer weather! Monday evening showers and thunderstorms will be followed by drying conditions overnight with the chance for some patchy fog.
Even though the “cold” front passes through the region early Tuesday the cooler air will lag behind some. Therefore, heat indexes Tuesday could still get into the 90s with highs in the mid 80s to low 90s. There will also be the slim chance for a spot shower in the morning as the cold front passes, and a pop up shower or storm in the afternoon wit
