HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - High pressure sitting off to the north of the region right now is driving the development of clear and pleasant conditions over the area today.

Still, the powerful August sunshine is driving 90s over the entire area. Eventually, this high pressure will work its way further to the south and east, driving the development of southeasterly down sloping winds. These winds will dry the lower levels of the atmosphere out, allowing air temperatures to get even higher tomorrow.

Meanwhile, an area of low pressure to the north and west of the area will begin working its way to the east, shifting the flow to south-southwesterly by the evening of Tuesday. This will slightly increase the humidity over the area, and allow for the development of increased heat indices into the
