SUMTER, S.C. — Central Carolina Technical College (CCTC) has named four finalists in its search for the college’s next president following the retirement announcement of current president Dr. Kevin Pollock, effective June 30, 2025.

The four finalists are scheduled to participate in interviews at CCTC on Tuesday, August 19, and Wednesday, August 20.

The candidates include:

Dr. Shannon L. Hair , Vice President of Institutional Advancement & Development at Danville Community College, who has raised more than $65 million in funding during his tenure.

Dr. James W. Ross , who brings 25 years of community college leadership and most recently served as President of Pamlico Community College, where student success rankings reached number one nationally.

Dr. Rosline Sumpter , a Sumter native
