AURORA, Colo. (KKTV) - The Aurora Police Department asked for the community’s help in identifying a suspect in connection with a deadly hit-and-run in early August.

Around 6:15 p.m. on August 9, police said they responded to a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle at Dayton Street and East 12th Avenue in northwest Aurora.

An injured motorcyclist was found on scene. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, where police say he died three days later. the motorcyclist was identified as 65-year-old Harvey Davis of Aurora.

Through an investigation, police say Davis was riding north on Dayton Street when he was hit by a 2003 Subaru Forester that failed to stop at a stop sign as it was heading east on 12th Avenue. According to police, the Subaru did not stop to render aid and fled the scene
