GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — Grand Prairie food lovers will soon have a new spot to grab Italian beef sandwiches, Chicago-style hot dogs, and Portillo’s famous chocolate cake.

The fast-casual chain officially opens its newest restaurant Thursday, Aug. 21, at 3102 State Highway 161. Doors open at 10 a.m., but the celebration begins earlier with a 9:30 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Grand Prairie location marks the company’s eighth restaurant in the Dallas-Fort Worth market .

The Grand Prairie opening is just the start. Portillo’s announced four more Texas locations are on the way: Tanger Outlets Fort Worth, Galleria Dallas, Canyon West in Lubbock and Montana Commons in El Paso.
