DALLAS — A Dallas County judge has extended the temporary restraining order (TRO) keeping Deep Ellum bar Rodeo Dallas closed at least for another two weeks.

The TRO cites escalating violence, underage drinking, and safety concerns linked to the venue.

Judge Veretta Frazier signed the order Friday, prolonging the closure through Sept. 5, according to court records. Attorneys for both the bar and its landlord, Asana Partners, supported the extension, which was filed as a joint proposal earlier in the day.

A hearing on whether to impose a longer-term injunction is scheduled for Aug. 29, according to court records.

Initially, on Aug. 5, Rodeo Dallas’ landlord, Westdale Real Estate Investment and Management, chained the bar’s doors shut , leaving behind a sign citing “lease violations”
