Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly voiced concern over lack of communication between law enforcement and school systems when it comes to juvenile crime, pointing to Rachel Morin’s case for a broader discussion on safety risks.
With C4 and Bryan Nehman on Monday, Cassilly highlighted how current state laws restrict the sharing of information about juvenile offenders, even when those individuals are enrolled in public schools.
“The one that concerns me is the challenge of not allowing our law enforcement and our school systems to operate in a collaborative fashion,” he said. “That’s the one that really scares me.”
