DEFOREST, Wis. (WMTV) - At Harvest Intermediate School in DeForest, Aleah Grundahl is looking forward to the first day of school.
“I’ve always been drawn to kids,” said Grundahl. “From the get-go, I knew I wanted to teach.”
The 5th grade Math and Science teacher is feeling more confident heading into her second year as ‘Ms. Grundahl’.
“I think those first couple years of challenges, it definitely takes a special person,” said Grundahl. “There were definitely days that were harder than others.”
She says the school’s principal and more experienced staff members helped guide her through the ups and downs of her first year of teaching.
