AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Texas Education Agency (TEA) recently released its A-F Accountability Ratings for public schools statewide.

Panhandle schools saw a slight dip in social studies, but a sizable improvement in math and science, which helped produce strong ratings in the area.

The rating system has been around since 2017, and factors in student achievement and school progress.
