AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A man who set a car on fire in April has been sentenced to prison.

We previously reported that the Amarillo Fire Marshal’s Office responded to a vehicle fire on April 1 in the area of West I-40 in between Western Street and Paramount Boulevard.

Officials determined the fire was intentionally set.

Fire marshal deputies identified a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant for 33-year-old Aaron Taylor.

Police arrested Taylor on the morning of April 8 and booked him into Potter County Detention Center on a charge of arson, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

Per a criminal complaint filed with on April 14, Taylor is also responsible for another vehicle fire that occurred just days after the first one.
