Country music legend Ray Stevens updated his fans Monday on his recovery from the heart attack he suffered in early June.

A statement posted to his Facebook again noted that doctors described it as a “mild heart attack.”

“Ray underwent minimally invasive heart surgery in a Nashville hospital,” the statement read. “In late July, he underwent a second procedure where doctors placed two stents to clear other blockages. He spent a few days in a Nashville rehabilitation facility and is now at home resting to regain his strength.”

The statement also said that Stevens is now planning to sell his West Nashville-based CabaRay Showroom, but does plan to fulfill his previously scheduled live shows scheduled for CabaRay as soon as he can.
