SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - The high school volleyball season is getting underway on the Suncoast, and the Lady Tornadoes at Booker High School are ready to shock the world.
There really is nowhere to go but up for this program. Booker went 2-10 last season, but that is in the past and the girls are putting that behind them. There’s a lot of optimism for what the 2025 should be for them.
“This year we have stepped up energy as a team, 100 percent,” Kendall Hartzell, an 11th grader and right-side hitter, said. “Last year, we did not have the best season. I think with all of the new coaches we have, I have a lot of faith in the team. We are much more supportive of each other. We have much more confidence.”
